Pair of Victorian "Touraine" Flow Blue Oyster Bowls

A matching pair of small footed bowls decorated in cobalt underglaze with scrolling floral sprays beneath a deep blue border. Their rounded walls and compact size identify them as oyster bowls, a specialty form designed for serving shellfish in late Victorian dining sets. Each example carries subtle differences in glaze diffusion, a hallmark of hand-applied flow blue production.

This Victorian flow blue serving piece features a well-balanced form decorated in saturated cobalt transferware with softened edges from the flow blue firing process. The piece presents strong visual depth and period character.

Set appears to be free from chips or cracks. Exhibit some stilt marks from production.
